Even Koh Phangan was initially discovered by backpackers a mere twentyfive years ago, Phangan was inhabited already about two thousand years ago by sea gypsies originating from the Malayan Peninsula. Phangan was later targeted by Chinese migrants originating from the chinese province Hainan . The climate in the Kingdom of Thailand is very tropic, hot and humid. Most of the time weather are caused by monsoons that create three distinguishable climate seasons in Northern and Central regions of Siam and 2 contrastive seasons in Southern part of the Kingdom of Thailand. The south-west monsoon occurs around May to Oct is warm and cloudy, but in northeast monsoon around November to Mar is bone-dry and relatively cool. But, as Phangan has much more to experience than just being a famous never ending party island, the island has also a quieter part, offering the great advantage of a secluded resort with long walks, cooking courses and various other options.
